There will be a benefit concert/celebration for fellow percussionist and our friend Leonice Shinneman, who was badly injured in a car accident in January. He suffered a fractured neck and broken back but amazingly he is gradually regaining his health and mobility one day at a time.
Admission is $20 per person and available only the day of the event at the event. 100% of the proceeds will be going to Leonice for his physical therapy to (literally) get him back on his feet

All-star musicmakers gather to celebrate the legacy of the great John Bergamo (1940–2013)—the peerless hand-drummer, composer, global music explorer and educator who was one of the most influential creative figures in CalArts history. Performing a selection of Bergamo’s most important works are members of the late maestro’s original Repercussion Unit; Hands On’Semble with Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri and Houman Pourmehdi; the latest iteration of the CalArts Percussion Ensemble, and a host of alumni from around the country.
